Pilar Garcia is an artist from Spain. He uses a variety of artistic techniques that are both expressionistic and surreal. He believes that hands, as extensions of the mind, convey subtle and deep feelings that often escape verbal expression, acting like a seismograph that registers psychic resonance in response to impulse.
The artist's goal is to capture a fleeting moment when an emotion appears. Her work is therefore ephemeral - Pilar delights in the spontaneous appearance of images on her canvas, often without any preconceived idea, pouring onto the canvas a silent dialogue with her consciousness.
The archetypes of feelings and emotions in her works are faces and figures, painted with oil in contrasting, dispersion colors. They do not represent actual people; rather, they exist as visual metaphors. Pilar's work reflects her personal experiences. We present some of her works.
